The menu is a mix of grilled sandwiches and brunch buns. The Breakfast Bird – fried egg, free range buttermilk fried chicken, smoked candied bacon, maple mayo, smoked cheese, Korean BBQ sauce, and pickles is the best fried chicken burger in Brighton & Hove. Fact.
The sandwiches are superb too and vegetarians and vegans are very well catered for. They sometimes turn their hand to a burger special, which is unsurprisingly epic as well.
Vegans are well catered for by swapping the egg for avocado and vegan cheese. I love The Lucky Beans but the pick of the bunch is probably the Vegan Telling Porkies – vegan brioche, vegan Cumberland patty, smashed avocado, Porky’s Revenge maple glazed bacon, vegan cheese, house chilli jam.
