Good Friends is good for Cantonese favourites, as well as some more interesting traditional Chinese dishes.

It’s a classic white tablecloth place with good service, but you may need to ask for the Chinese menu as sometimes it’s not given out by default. If your chopsticks have been replaced with a fork & spoon, there’s a good chance you’ve been given the safe, white people menu.

As far as I’m aware, it’s one of the only places in Brighton & Hove offering traditional Cantonese roast meats, which you’ll see hanging in the window. The char siu pork isn’t the best IMO, but the duck and crispy pork and both safe bets.
