The food at Kitgum is a wonderful combination of East African and Gujarati cuisine. The flavours are familiar but new at the same time and unique in Brighton as far as I’m aware, plus the team couldn’t be lovelier.
After several popups and residencies across Brighton, Kitgum the restaurant opened just before lockdown 1.0 with an excellent small plates menu and have since managed to pivot to an excellent ‘Finish at Home’ offering.
Plenty of vegan dishes on the menu including Cauliflowers Don’t Have Wings – cauliflower coated in turmeric batter, dipped in hot & sour sauce, fresh coriander and crispy cumin seeds. Don’t miss out on the Mogo Chips either!
