Korpan, in the Brighton Open Market and is one of my favourite places for lunch, with an array of delicious Japanese and Korean dishes available around the £6 mark. The service is so unbelievably friendly that you can’t help but leave with a smile on your face – Mi even dropped round 2kg of kimchi during the first lockdown and refused to take any money for it…
The Bibimbap is excellent and comes topped with plenty of veg. The Katsu Curry is also just as you’d expect. All main dishes are available with your choice of beef, chicken or tofu, and Mi also makes the best kimchi in town, available by the jar.
Her Mochi is great too and comes in about six different flavours.
Tofu versions of all dishes are available, and make sure you pick up a jar of Mi’s excellent vegan kimchi while you’re there.
