Served out of a wooden shack outside the Evening Star pub (which is also great), just round the corner from Brighton station, Trollburger is hands down the best burger place in Brighton.
Troll sources the best local, seasonal ingredients and treats them with maximum respect. The menu changes regularly so keep an eye on his Instagram stories for the latest, plus details on the weekly changing, semi-secret Thursday Special, which never fails to deliver. His triple cooked chips are also straight out of the top drawer.
There’s always a vegan burger on the menu, and Troll puts in the same amount of effort into it, eg. The Golden Dawn – vegan patty, fermented sunchoke pickles, hempseed and tumeric mayo, crispy fried cavolo nero. The patty is homemade, from Hodemedod organic fava beans, and seasonal veg which changes every week and is usually priced an incredibly reasonable £7.
